Surprise! I started quilting this year as a hobby instead of scrolling social media at night. What started as some soul searching turned into a passion of mine that lets me love on my friends and family. I’ve started and finished: a king size quilt for my husband (his wedding gift!), a quilt for a baby girl, a quilt for a baby boy, and another quilt for a baby girl— I’m currently finishing up on two more, too!

I have a tendency of picking hobbies, getting good at them, and getting bored. But I am hopeful that quilting can be a lifelong hobby that makes people feel loved.

This video (my first YouTube video!) is a baby quilt for my friend’s daughter. I decided to start a YouTube channel to share what I’m learning and relearning as we work towards building our dream homestead. Quilting is something that felt like a great place to start— I didn’t need 10 acres of land to dig in.

I’m looking forward to many more years of quilts and YouTube videos.
